A Quick Update

Well, I've been having a really difficult time remembering to take pictures. And when I do remember, I can't ever find the time to upload them. Yeah, this story is getting old, as it seems to be the first part of every blog post recently. Sigh.

Anyhow, life has been B-U-S-Y! The boys are getting so big and although they're an absolute joy and blessing, they come with their challenges. Elijah has certainly come upon his "terrible twos", but we have been making progress. We believe the catalyst was the day we sent Santa Claus all of Elijah's pacifiers...big sigh. At least they're gone though and we seem to have rounded the corner. He's still refusing to take his afternoon nap, but we've gotten him to lay in his room quietly for that time and that's all we can really ask for now.

Noah is doing GREAT, and he's just such a happy and plump baby boy. He gets such a laugh out of Elijah's antics and really lights up whenever Matt and I come into a room. Noah is also growing like a weed and has already passed the 20lb mark. He's in the 85th and 95th percentiles for weight and height and we're overjoyed. He does seem a bit reluctant to eat foods, but while we continue to try...he's certainly not wasting away.

Elijah has been really encouraging Noah to roll and get moving. I'm definitely not ready to have a crawler again, but we've entered the phase of rolling that is unstoppable.  It's the time when you leave Noah in one place and when you come back 10 seconds later, he's gotten himself stuck halfway under the couch. Yikes.

In November, the Bishop visited All Saints Episcopal School, where the boys attend a Parents Morning Out program. We took advantage of the timing to get the boys baptized, finally. Aunt Carol Spinazzola and Mark Spinazzola stood in as the sponsors, since the boys Godparents weren't able to make the short notice/long trip. They boys looked so handsome and Matt and I were filled with joy.

And then came December. This is the first Christmas that Elijah has really embraced Santa and his reindeer. We read stories, talked about Santa and even watched "Elf". It was tons of fun and on Christmas Eve, we baked cookies, put out Reindeer food and had a great sleep. Santa came and left a wonderful bunch of gifts for the boys, to include Rody horses, an arts and craft table and a race car tower to mention a few. Lal and Papa made the drive for the second year in a row (thank God) and we really enjoyed their company and the seemingly endless Christmas!

Caitly ("Cake-lyn" as Elijah calls her) came to share Christmas morning with us. She's been such a blessing this year and we are certainly thankful for her and the love she has for our boys.
